School Surf Trip Fuerteventura

Last week we had the pleasure of welcoming a school trip from Denmark consisting of 30, 17-19 year olds.
Welcome to Fuerteventura! As part of their school trip to the island, they enlisted in a beginners surf course with Sunwave Surfcamp.

It was a beautiful sunny morning, so we took the whole group to El Morro beach on the East coast of the island. The students were all of different levels, some had never ridden a surfboard in their life, others had basic surfing level experience, so we split the group into teams and assigned them their instructor for the morning.

The course consisted of taking the students through the basic surfing techniques, teaching them how to catch waves, the correcting pop up technique and how to keep themselves safe in the water.

The students had a blast, surfing is one of the sports that everyone wants to try and it was a great introduction to surfing, there were a lot of laughs, waves ridden and of course face plants.
